Diptych..?

I recently printed the following two photos and I was unsure of wether or not I want to make them into a diptych or not. I decided to keep them as two separate photos but I'm not sure how I feel about the decision...

Artist's Statement for Senior Art Show

I have been in photography for three years now and my artistic style has become increasingly clear. I really like photographing nature and man made things left in nature. My style has become distinctively rustic with a focus on nature, metals, and textures. I have a body of work centered around rusted trains and machines in nature. I have another body of work that has an earthy feel though the content is more city like. I maintained my style by printing the photos on metal platelets. Other works of mine, though they may not have a focus on nature, have textures that give the work a rustic, aged feel.
